Yes. Have a look at the data handling in Synthesis, then let's talk about a suitable API which exposes the Synthesis field list to SyncEvolution backends. For core SyncEvolution code I'm trying to keep the copyright ownership consistent, but for independent modules, LGPL (or compatible) with other copyrights is fine (see [1]).
