The bt in the post didn't actually have debug information, but the launchpad bug does have a good backtrace. Looks like http://bugzilla.moblin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8933. I an tell you that this piece of code has been rewritten so the bug should not be there in current releases. I'll take a look at this next week, if it seems simple as I imagine, I could fix the older version (0.9 seems to be in Ubuntu 9.10) as well.
