According to that log file, no data was ever transmitted between phone and SyncEvolution. That means there is no hidden copy of your data on the desktop side. If the phone had data on it before the sync, then it should have sent that in this first slow sync. SyncEvolution did not ask for data to be deleted on the phone. If the phone did that instead of sending it, then there's nothing that SyncEvolution can do about it. I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you. I wonder what could be done to avoid something like this. Does the phone provide manual data export into files? Recommending such a manual backup should be listed in the phone sync HOWTO. Another approach might be to fetch items in "refresh-from-client" mode into a local backup (not Evolution), synchronize locally, then write back with "refresh-from-server". I have no idea whether that would have worked better in this case, though.
