In the Debian bug tracker Chanoch mentioned that it happened because he
used Debian binaries linked against out-dated libebook/libecal.

I believe it shouldn't happen when using binaries from
syncevolution.org, because those will use the most recent version of
libebook/libecal via dlopen().
