thanks for your suggestion, I will give it a try. However, I would prefer read-write access to the contact data. Also abook is a pretty simple and easy CLI front-end to the address data which I would like to keep. It is therefore likely I will look into an abook backend of syncevolution anyway . Cheers, Tom
