You should be able to install "syncevolution-bundle" after or in
combination with removing all Debian SyncEvolution packages. I have the
syncevolution.org .deb installed on Debian Testing here.

Right, the logging is a bit strange. But the more important part is that
phone and the local engine believe that the session has ended normally.
You can check that with "syncevolution --print-sessions".
