Hi Patrick,

for two weeks now, I am using syncevolution to synchronize my nokia
e51 phone to a webdav backend. Akonadi is using the same webdav
backend to access the same data. The phone, as well as akonadi are in
read-write mode.

The only modification that was necessary was the template. It rewrites
all email addresses in vcards that were edited by akonadi such that
the type is set to Internet when the vcard is delivered to the phone.

The result is great! During the implementation of the custom template
some email addresses were duplicated in my contacts (some contacts now
have the same email address stored twice) but I do not mind much.
Synchronisation as well as the webdav backend is running on a slow arm
machine. I had to turn off printdata and dumpdata to circumvent
timeouts on the phone while these processes were running.

So this is a big thank you the the contributors of syncevolution and
to Patrick Ohly in particular who helped a lot for ironing out some
configuration issues and even provided the custom template for me to
use. It is great to be able to (from a users perspective: finally)
synchronize SyncML phones with pim-data from the linux desktop in a
stable an quick way.
