Hi guys,
I've always been surprised by how quickly many voters can have cheked *every*
things that are to checked :
- compiling from the tarball
- compiling from the svn tag
- checking the rat report
- checking the packages signatures...
It usually takes me half an hour, at least. When I see someone voting less than
2 minutes after the vote, then it means :
- either the voter has not done his/her due diligence
- or he/she has checked everything *before* the vote has been started, which is
not good, community wise...
- or he/she has a way better computer than me, and I want the same !
- or he/she trust me too much ;)
You are trustable :)
Seriously, this is a real problem in the long term. I have seen that
many times, were people vote without checking the packages, and when the
release is voted, and announced, users start to complain about some
major issues... It hit me last month when I release MINA 2.0.6, and I
was happy enough to ba able to not announce the release, and to cut a
new one in the next few hours...
Take your time to check the release, the vote lasts for 72 hours !
