Preview render looks okay, but regardless of my final render quality and 
antialiasing, the color bleeds.

The movie looks fine to me.

I reckon you have a problem with your video card settings.  Check the
settings, and you'll probably find there are different settings for the
"video overlay" and everything else.  Or try watching the movie on a
different computer.

Do you have other .mp4 files?  Do they play OK?

Oddly after having this problem, I tried to do a screenshot of the movie
playing and when I opened the screenshot, everything looked fine.  Now I'm
confused if it's a problem with my movie player or with the actual render
from synfig.
