Category: Usability Group: Latest release (0.61.06) Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: White Raven (corvusalbus) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Unable to use Simple Text on Linux Initial Comment: When I add nes Simple Text layer I am unable to edit text there. Two dots are displayer - position and size (maybe?) but no text. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: White Raven (corvusalbus) Date: 2007-11-05 22:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1930301 Originator: YES I am using Gentoo. I have build Synfig 0.61.06 from ebuild in the sunrise overlay and Synfig studio from an ebuild from Gentoo bug tracker on http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111279 I have also tried Synfig and Synfig studio 0.61.07 on another machine with Gentoo - still no text visible. Another try was 0.61.07 on Windows box - there was no problem with text so I think that it's probably only Linux (and maybe only Gentoo) issue. And no change after resetting colors. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Genete (genete) Date: 2007-11-05 22:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1874777 Originator: NO I had the same problem and I solved it when update to the latest version. See this bug: 1790847 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2007-11-05 21:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1546005 Originator: NO Someone reported a problem recently in the IRC channel about not being able to see circles they had drawn. They were using a badly built package from an Italian slackware archive I think. Could it be that you are also running a bad build? Did you build it yourself, or where did you get your binaries? Which distro are you using? So you have the colors set to reasonable (non-transparent) values? Try resetting them with the 'R' icon between the two color squares in the main synfig toolbox window. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=757416&aid=1826344&group_id=144022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
