Initial Comment: I'm running Windows Home XP SP2 on an Intel Core 2 chip. This is the first open source project I've tried to build, so I followed the instructions to install msys (http://wiki.synfig.com/Mingw_installation) and build synfig (http://wiki.synfig.com/Windows_build_instructions) from the synfig website. I followed them to the letter. When I began to build the code, I got this: $ ./make_openexr.sh Making OpenEXR... Cleanup directories Preparing sources Applying patches... patching file `OpenEXR.pc.in' patch unexpectedly ends in middle of line patch: **** malformed patch at line 10: I took out the parts dealing with openexr-1.4.0-pkgconfig.patch and things compiled fine until I tried to build synfig. I think it ran into an error with not having the patch. Either way, I'd like to figure out what's causing the above error. Any thoughts? May be it's something wrong with content of your openexr-1.4.0-pkgconfig.patch? Try to use the ready build scripts from attach.
