Summary: Binary Install fails on Macbook pro osx 10.6.8

Initial Comment:
Rurn the installer twice now and each time it fails, installer will say 
"running package scripts" then it fails.  I'm running a macbook pro:

Does the installer log say anything about why it failed? Open the installer
package again, and select Installer Log from the Window menu, then try
continuing with the install again. If the default value Show Errors Only
doesn't show anything that seems relevant, try selecting Show All Logs
instead.
