This is wonderful - it provides functionality analogous to what are known
as "Guide" layers in Flash, which are used an awful lot (if you open up
people's Flash Files you'll see several of them).
Guide layers are far better than sketch layers for certain jobs as you can
use them to position and things and snap to.
