I'd prefer it if the enable/disable parameter wasn't hidden in the
parameters panel, as having the check box present adds a useful feature to
the user. It allows the user to see all the layers in the group at once
instead of one at a time, which is a great help when animating. So, in this
case, making enable/disable implicit would actually make things harder
instead of easier for the user.
