Falloff is only for Circle layer and it is special due to the
particularities of the Circle's geometry. The feather value is function of
the radius distance so no other shape can have that kind of special
feather. It is not a blur it is a alpha value variable with the radius.
In the other layers, the feather is just a blur type applied on the shape.
It can be not only Gaussian blur but Box blur, Cross blur etc. as you
already know.
