Hi!
I've noticed that render time has get worse in the current development
branch (gtk3 and master). As example I did a full compilation (*) of the
current master branch in release mode (windows 32 bits) and compared it
with stable 0.64.1 version.
Rendering one frame of examples/macwolfen.sifz gives me the follwowing
numbers:
$./synfig.exe --time 0f -b macwolfen.sifz
Development branch (master): 6.39335 seconds
Current release (0.64.1): 3.77624 seconds
Can someone confirm those (similar) numbers in other platform?

(*) Although I didn't do a full compilation of all the libraries in release
mode, only for synfig/synfigstudio, it shouldn't have influence on the
render to png, since it doesn't use third party libraries..., or it does?
