Personally I like the thick red line. I think it will be particularly
helpful to beginners as they can do a lot of weird things to their work if
they don't notice they are animating.
But I can also understand why Yu and David don't like it. We all have
different UI likes and dislikes - and that's fine.
So maybe the best thing to do would be to make the red animation border an
option in the Preferences dialog box.
