Summary: Synfig should be able to work with inkscape.

Initial Comment:
I should be able to import inkscape svg into synfig and have it work. Inkscape
is a much better environment for developing vector graphics.

Message:
HI, this should be possible already see announcement for V 0.62.01:
"Improvements in SVG import module.
Gradient support have been improved in the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
import module. Now import your artwork from Inkscape is more accurate and
usable than before. Here you can see a import example of artwork from
Inkscape to Synfig Studio."

Cheers, OHo.
