I made a test run today of the mill, juice straining, cooking apparatus etc today. This was a micro batch just to play with before the real deal. I've never done this before but have been monitoring this list for about 6 months now. One thing that surprised me was the color of my juice when it came out of the mill (which was clean before starting). It resembled muddy water! This is sugar cane not sorghum. It was not very appealing but I strained it and cooked it anyway. Final product after skimming was clear brown and tasted real good. Is this normal?

Finally I need a source of 16 ounce jugs to put the final product in. Thanks in advance to everybody on this list for responding.
