Patching has always been a very sore topic in Solaris administration. Whereas I've used LU on a few occations for those systems with unrealistic SLAs, I don't recall having used it on any systems with non-global zones.
The following link has some information in exactly what you are trying to accomplish. http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/sundocs/articles/sluonngzones.jsp I do not have ready access to a s10u2 system at the moment to veryify the standard patch levels and if they may be sufficient. I hope someone else may be able to provide a little more help. -Shane On Thu, 11 Sep 2008, Mike Lehman wrote: > All, > > I have been tasked with finding a patch strategy for all Solaris servers. The good majority of these servers are running Solaris 10U2 with non-global zones; roughly totaling 100 servers. I am looking for suggestions on how to do this. I am unable to purchase any solution that SUN offers, although I would love to.
