There are two streams covered by the OpenSolaris, Nevada and OpenSolaris 2008.xx. Many people that run the one may not run the other. That's why I didn't bother responding. Yes, the two are a little different. I think (if I remember correctly) that the .com space focusses on the OpenSolaris.2008.xx stream, while .org covers both but is traditionally more focussed on Nevada. There's a lot of confusing history that I'm over-generalizing and putting my own feelings into.
