I should have been more precise in my post. I already tried
setting 'dev' as my preferred authority and I was getting
a weird 404 error... as if a file/link wasn't found on the server.
I finally got the JDK installed, but I had to unset both authorities
and then set only 'dev' to finally get it to work. Very odd.
$ pfexec pkg refresh
With OpenSolaris 2008.11 and above, I think, you don't need to
explicitly issue a refresh command.
Is that true? I didn't know that.
