Hi, I am running OpenSolaris ( SunOS solaris 5.11 snv_101b i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris) and a raidz1 array got degraded.
I replaced the drive, marked faulty, then I think I made a mistake by using zpool replace distroclips c5d0 c5d0 instead of zpool replace distroclips c5d0 Since then the silvering process is looping endlessly. Here you can see it just about to finish a cycle: e...@solaris:~$ zpool status -x pool: distroclips state: DEGRADED status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected. action: Determine if the device needs to be replaced, and clear the errors using 'zpool clear' or replace the device with 'zpool replace'. see: http://www.sun.com/msg/ZFS-8000-9P scrub: resilver in progress for 5h25m, 99.93% done, 0h0m to go config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM distroclips DEGRADED 0 0 0 raidz1 DEGRADED 0 0 0 c4d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 1.00G resilvered replacing DEGRADED 0 0 0 c5d0s0/o FAULTED 0 194K 0 corrupted data c5d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 703G resilvered c4d1 ONLINE 0 0 0 1013M resilvered c5d1 ONLINE 63 0 0 635M resilvered errors: No known data errors And this is what happens two minutes later, silvering restarts. e...@solaris:~$ zpool status -x pool: distroclips state: DEGRADED status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error.
