Hi,
I am trying to get the HP Array Configuration Utility to report the HP
hardware RAID array status under OpenSolaris 2009.06 snv_111b X86 on
my HP Proliant DL365 G5 server.
I downloaded the HPQacucli Solaris 10 package from HP's web site (http://tinyurl.com/6ru4ec
), and installed it.
When I try and run e.g.
--
r...@etna:/usr/src# /opt/HPQacucli/sbin/hpacucli
HP Array Configuration Utility CLI 8.25-5.0
Detecting Controllers...Done.
Type "help" for a list of supported commands.
Type "exit" to close the console.
=> controller slot=0
Error: Invalid command. Type "help" for a list of valid commands.
--
.. I get that error message. But I also spotted this error message
in /var/adm/messages every time I do that:
--
Sep 10 22:01:18 etna cpqary3: [ID 508012 kern.warning] WARNING:
CPQary3: Memory Allocation Failed: Increase System Memory
--
Any ideas, pointers? As much as I'd like to ask the HP guys for help,
it seems that they're not interested in supporting OpenSolaris:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/software/solaris/index.html#a14
"HP Technology Services will not support OpenSolaris. OpenSolaris
subscriptions and support are available directly from Sun."
I have verified that the syntax is correct (according to the man page,
and that exact same syntax works under RHEL), and that id 0 is the id
of my controller. I've also tried to Google. Suspecting that I might
be the first person trying to do this :-/
