That was considered. But as the customer picks their own $lo...@$domain, for accessing CGI/FTP, it feels like a step backwards to give them a random login for SSH. Moreover, we would have to inform 30,000 customers about their login details, which due to tradition, has to be done with snail-mail. This would also not be cost-effective.
