This mailing list is for the team that administers the infrastructure
for the SpamAssassin project. I can understand how an open and public
list for such a purpose might be surprising, but the ASF likes to be
as open as possible.
I think you would be more satisfied by the SpamAssassin Users list,
which is for users of SpamAssassin, primarily sysadmins. We also have
a Developers list for people contributing code and/or rules to the
project.
