New question #280880 on sysbench:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sysbench/+question/280880
1.We run command as below
[root@localhost Desktop]# sysbench --num-threads=16 --test=memory
--memory-block-size=256K --memory-total-size=256G --memory-scope=local run
sysbench 0.5: multi-threaded system evaluation benchmark
Running the test with following options:
Number of threads: 16
Random number generator seed is 0 and will be ignored
Threads started!
Operations performed: 1048576 (422426.05 ops/sec)
262144.00 MB transferred (105606.51 MB/sec)
General statistics:
total time: 2.4823s
total number of events: 1048576
total time taken by event execution: 38.5841s
response time:
min: 0.03ms
avg: 0.04ms
max: 10.24ms
approx. 95 percentile: 0.06ms
Threads fairness:
events (avg/stddev): 65536.0000/858.92
execution time (avg/stddev): 2.4115/0.01
2.We found at the same time CPU loading 100%,we think it should be memory have
loading (because test mode is memory)
3.By the result we guess maybe run on CPU L1 cache? or other cache?
4.We use the other tools to mature the DDR4 PC17000 DIMM 128 GB(<-It's our SUT
Memory),cannot match the sysbench result.
So we want to ask test mode=memory,it's really for memeory or just for CPU
test item?
Wish your reply,thanks
