I have not seen or heard of ssyslog until now. However, to be certain that
an apparently worthwhile source is not discarded too early in the game, I
will champion ssyslog until such time that its author(s) appear or it is
decided that it does not provide any contribution to the effort. I am
downloading it as I write. I will also post a message on the Core-sdi
website in an effort to encourage some participation from them or at least a
warm body response.
