none taken, it was and it is indeed work in progress.

I have no idea how Lucio Torre came to be the contact for ssyslog here, he's is
certainly the technical contact for CORE-SDI listed in Internic records, but
the
contacts for ssyslog and the project that includes it (ALAT) are Emiliano
Kargieman
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Gerardo Richarte <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. The downloadble
file on our web site lists [EMAIL PROTECTED] as well as [EMAIL PROTECTED] as
contact addresses.

Ssyslog became part of a bigger project we call ALAT, for Advanced Logging and
Auditing
Techniques, that comprises not only secure logging but also the protocols and
programs needed
to audit eficiently the logs and to visualise logged data in a easy and clear
way.
A lot of work has been done on this at Core and not much has been published or
put in the public
domain yet mostly because we didnt consider it complete or robust enough to be
of importance.
Later today either Emiliano or Gerardo will post a brief description of what is
ALAT, what is ssyslog
and what it is based on (in terms of cryptography).
