This looks pretty good to me. I'd help out with the
protocol
details but 1) I am swamped and 2) I don't know them
very well. Sorry. (hmm, that reminds me that I need to put
out another draft of my own doc)
As for the IAP document from the IDWD, it looks like this
protocol would be able to carry syslog-sec type data, but
is not very flexible and therefore may not be appropriate
for
some situations, especially very low performance network
toasters.
