Nah.  Lots of people would have heartburn
if this group tried to merge the function
provided by syslog with SNMP.  ;-)

The work will be the definitions of the
MIB objects that may be addressed by SNMP
to provision/configure the syslog process
of a device.

As I'm not a real expert on SNMP MIBs
(and I can't even play one on TV) I'm 
going to be asking for strong reviews and
lots of feedback of this work by the 
members of the group.
