I also have an old Powerbook, a 145B... I love it. It's my portable word
processor. It has WriteNow 3.0, Word 5.1, and Wordperfect 3.5e (which
recently seems to have gone kaput, but that's okay, because it felt pretty
slow anyway). It's so great to go to my favorite coffee shop, where lots of
students go to study, and break out my 8-year-old Powerbook amongst all the
brand new Dells and Thinkpads (and, granted, the occassional iBook or
Powerbook G3). :)
I realize that technically this is off-topic, since my Powerbook runs System
7.0, but this list gets so little traffic anyway that I figure you guys
won't mind too much. :) With 7.0, it boots in about 2 seconds. Maybe I
should try 6 on it and see how that affects it!
The solar-panel power sound so interesting! Yes, please provide more info!
