Thanks, Marten, I never realised you could do that with Mac installers -- install for another system on a floppy disk. Cool.
Anyway, so I'm confused here. I have the following on an 800k floppy disk, and I cannot mount shares over LocalTalk. I suppose it's possible that my connectors or terminators are bad, but more likely it's my lack of knowledge of System 6. Here's what I have in my System Folder: - Apple Share 3.5 (76k) - AppleTalk 58.1.4 (60k) - AutoIdle 1.0a18 (10k) - Finder 6.1.8 (107k) - General control panel 3.3.3 (14k) - MacTCP control panel v1.1.1 (112k) - MacTCP DNR control panel (1k) - MacTCP Prep (1k) - Network control panel 3.0.2 (41k) - RamDisk+ 3.23 (54k) - Responder 2.0.4 (7k) - System 6.0.8 (279k) Network Control panel has only one option (Built-in LocalTallk), and that is selected. System includes 5 fonts and Chooser and Control Panel DAs. When I open Chooser and select AppleShare I see nothing. It doesn't matter whether my SE/30 (the other computer on the LocalTalk segment) is running LocalTalk Bridging with the Network control panel pointing to Ethernet, or if LocalTalk Bridging is NOT running and the Network control panel points to LocalTalk.
