I recently laid my hands on a Mac SE (single floppy, internal hard disk), in good working order, hoping to run HyperCard. However, when I try to run the copy of HyperCard I had lying around (can't find a version number, but the copyright date in the manual is 1990), it chugs for a little while, then pops up a dialog 'The application "HyperCard" has unexpectedly quit (3).' This happens whether I run it directly from the floppy or from a copy on the hard disk. The Finder version is B1-6.1.7, and the System version B2-6.0.7; the only other thing on the hard drive is a system folder containing Backgrounder, Clipboard File, Finder, Multifinder and System.
Unfortunately, I'm more a Mac OS X kind of guy (and when the SE came out, I was more of a Acorn Electron/Commodore 64 type) so I've no idea where to start. Any suggestions?
