mel,

what is a (mac) accelerated IIci?

a IIci with an faster processor installed. a few manufacturers put them out including
daystar and radius (known as the rocket). the rocket bumped the IIci up the level of a
quadra 950, which makes a IIci quite a bit faster. used to cost a fortune ($1,500+ now
available around $30 or so.) check out ebay and/or the lem swaplist if you are
interested.

in fact the lowendmac.com section on IIci's is a great resource for owners of that
machine, worth a few visits.

regards,

tim
