CPS Tagfix is a system extension (INIT) that is installed when you do the
MAC TOOLS DELUXE installation on your hard disk. I assume (since I don't
have the manual just the install disks) that it is an INIT for fixing the
b-trees of the desktop files of System 6. Anyway if you don't have MacTools
installed go ahead and get rid of it. MacTools installs:

Read Me
Rescue
Mirror
CPS TagFix
FileEdit
Backup
Optimizer
FastCopy
Locate DA
Launcher
Partition DA & INIT
Secure
Secure DA

Also the second and third disks are for RESCUE, OPTIMIZER and CP DISKFIX.
They are boot disks.

It does nothing that my eyes can physically see. That's why I put forth my
query to this list.

So once again...

Would anyone happen to know what Central Point Software CPS Tagfix does? It
is an INIT, and from what I recall, it is to be used only on floppies. But
I could be wrong on that point.
