I applied this. But keep in mind that we will remove most of these distro-specific things some day, after the new "linux default" config files are commonly used. Then these patches will need to move into the distro packages, if they are still needed. Would be great, if you can get these changes in the distro -- most of them they can even be easily made working with non-systemd boot logic.
