We've been using filetriggers in Mageia for a while. They certainly save a lot of %pre/%post cruft and while I've not yet moved tmpfiles over to them (originally calling --create without a config basename would create the /run/nologin file which meant a generic filetriggers was tricky, but you split that up a while back now and thus this is now possible), but certainly going to do so for sysusers!
