We have implemented continuous mDNS service browsing as per RFC 6762 section 5.2 (See https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/22532).
We're also going to add a feature to expose service resolution over varlink shortly. Since there's no test suite currently for anything mDNS resolved related, we planned to contribute in that area. We're looking for suggestions on suitable test tools and workflows.
