*NeuroDataReHack: Unlock new discoveries in neurophysiology through secondary analysis.*
The DANDI Archive <http://dandiarchive.org> has grown to host over 300 diverse neurophysiology datasets in the Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) <http://nwb.org> format, representing a wealth of unexplored scientific opportunities. These datasets span multiple species, brain regions, behavioral tasks, and recording modalities, including prestigious contributions from the Allen Institute OpenScope <https://dandiarchive.org/dandiset/search?search=openscope>, the MICrONS project <https://dandiarchive.org/dandiset/000402>, and the International Brain Laboratory Brain Wide Map <https://dandiarchive.org/dandiset/000409>, alongside valuable datasets from laboratories worldwide. Join us for a workshop where you'll learn to leverage these open datasets for your research. We'll provide hands-on training on effectively using the DANDI Archive and NWB standard to integrate existing data into your scientific workflows. Your participation and feedback will directly influence the evolution of these tools to better serve the neuroscience community. Research opportunities include: - Cross-validate your findings across species and brain regions - Apply and showcase your novel analysis methods on independent datasets - Investigate unexplored questions using existing high-quality data - Develop educational resources using real neuroscience datasets Workshop Details: - Dates: July 14-18, 2025 - Venue: Janelia Research Campus, Ashburn, VA, USA - Cost: Free for accepted participants (includes meals and accommodation) - Travel Support: Limited awards available, prioritizing diversity and equity initiatives - Application Deadline: February 12, 2025 - Decision Notification: March 15, 2025 Ready to apply?
