BOYS

- Tommy Skipper Jr. appears recovered from his broken thumb winning Boys Pole Vault at 17-07 (w/ 2 good attempts at 18-2.5) Also won the 100m (10.88), 2nd in 200m (21.86), team title... wonder if he's considered decathlon?

- 1500m: Joaquin Chapa (yep, Rudeeee's son) won his first state title (3:51.39), 2nd in 800m (152.25) and leg on 4x400

-800m: National leader Mike McGrath wins first state title (1:51.27) well of his nation's best (1:48.56). A first lap in the 56 sec. range didn't help.

-3000m: Alberto Salazar pupil Galen Rupp (Jr.- Portland Central Catholic) first in (8:14.36), 2nd in 1500 (3:53.58).

GIRLS

-PV: Ashley Saulvino (Portland St. Mary's) 12-06.5
