Cristian Olsson set today a world leading mark of 17.77 m., in the 55th edition of the EAA Permit Meeting Venizelia 2003. Following the long succesful tradition of the meeting, KYDON Sports Club hosted some of the best athletes of the world in a meeting producing remarkable performances. Besides Olsson, a Greek long jumper, Dimitris Filindras was the winner og the event with an impressing 8.30 m. Danny McFarlane clocked 48.95 in the 400 m.hurdles to set a meeting record, while Higga Maggi won the competition of the women's long jump with 6.95 m. followed by Papavasilaki at 6.74 m. and Xanthou 6.70 m. Excellent marks by Svetlana Usovic (51.56 in the 400 m.), Stella Tsikouna (64.14 m. in the discus throw).
