At present he has set his sights on bettering the national prep record
of 18-02 which according to my calculations meets the "B" standard
(5.50) with the "A" standard at 5.70.
I saw him vault at the Oregon prep state meet and he was well over the
bar at 18-02.5 but his height was a little in front of the bar and he
came down on it.
In my opinion, he'll do it at Golden West.
