I agree on this point, but the way golf handicaps are implemented make them
no more accurate.  Golf handicaps are "self-policed", leaving quite a bit of
room for manipulation, both within the rules and otherwise.

As I said before, age graded tables have no place in ELITE track & field (so
perhaps we shouldn't mention them on this list!) but are a very positive
tool in helping the non-elites enjoy the sport.
