That implies that Ryun missed days. Missed in the sense that he wasn't schedule to 
train every day. And probably (maybe somebody has access to a training diary and knows 
for sure) didn't train heavily year-round. I'd guess his SoCal counterparts, even if 
having a lesser mentality, got in more workouts simply because they could. And I bet 
he competed in half the meets they did.
