attention collegiate cross country stat geeks (like myself)

i'm trying to confirm the accuracy of all-america awards for our historical
purposes and was hoping somebody could confirm the determining criteria in
previous decades, going back to the early 60s

i know in the 90s it was the top 25 overall (regardless of citizenship),
and any additional americans constituting the top 25 u.s. citizens...then,
when they expanded the fields from 182 runners to its current 255 size,
they supposedly upped each awards' size to the top 30 in each
classification (overall/americans)

the ducks have only been competing on the men's side since 1963 (bowerman
refused to participated until then, which robbed several greats, including
dellinger, of some hardware), so if somebody knows any info since then,
that would be great

i especially would be interested in knowing when the two-headed (overall &
'additional americans') rule was instituted

sincerely,

g
