Yeah, I agree. There are always free phones available now (the 6010 has been that way for several months) and there are deals on others. Also, the only requirement for contract extension is if you want to take advantage of a mail-in rebate (not all phones have rebates--check the site). In the past, you had to extend the contract to get any type of handset deal, whereas now you can get one without a contract and just forfeit the rebate. (So you'd pay 19.99 for the 6010, for example--not bad at all).

As for your phone if you have had a plan of $39.99 or higher and you've had service for over a year you should be able to get new customer pricing on phones.
