You probably can. How easy it is, depends on whether TMO uses the same operator/network code for both prepaid and postpaid.
IF the operator/network code is the same, you can just go to TMO and get yourself a prepaid SIM. They should be able to sign you up for the SideKick specific prepaid plan. IF the operator/network code is different, you should first ask TMO Cust Svc (through their website) for the unlock code and procedure for your SideKick. They will give it to you provided you've been a post-paid customer for at least 90 days. Follow the procedure, and then get the prepaid SIM from TMO.
