T-Mobile does not have service in Anchorage.

Going to wirelessadvisor.com and inputting 99501 (ZIP for Anchorage
city hall) shows several providers with ACS being the GSM provider. 
You'd have to go to their web site to see what they offer as far as
prepaid offerings.
