You can use the phone to dial up to your ISP. I do it all the time, 
but the speed is ridiculously slow (~9.6k). I can instant message 
pretty well, but that's about it. Don't bother using it to check 
your email or web surf unless you have absolutely no alternative.

I can connect to the GPRS on my phone via the laptop (ie Tzone). But 
I can't pull websites on it, so I believe tzone is limited to WAP 
sites.

If you have unlimited internet from tmobile ($19.99/mo), then you 
should be able to connect to the GPRS on the phone and get a full 
internet connection.
